Our facilities store large volumes of costly and, for the most part, hazardous liquids. The security arrangements at the terminal are of vital importance to:
- Prevent unauthorized access
- Prevent theft, vandalism, sabotage & terrorism
- Maintain records of quantities of hazardous material entering and leaving the terminal
- Prevent fire/explosion caused by the carrying of means of ignition
To this end, we are committed to:
- Continuously review our exposure and ensure that security arrangements are not only in line with the latest local legislation, but also use state-of-the-art security standards to ensure effective access control;
- To ensure strict adherence to the Oiltanking & JAFZA guidelines where enforcement on or within company’s property is required;
- In emergencies, to direct its response towards the protection of human life, the environment and company assets, in that order;
- In circumstances where lives or key assets are at risk, to inform immediately the appropriate authorities;
- To protect company information from unauthorized access and to advise all who work for the company on safeguarding confidentiality in filing, storing and communicating in any form.
The Principles underlying our Security management include:
- Compliance with all legal requirements;
- Compliance with the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS Code);
- Have procedures in place to minimize the impact of all identified security incidents or emergencies;
- Understand and implement systems & procedures to ensure the confidentiality of company information;
- Train all employees in security awareness and responsibility;
- Ensure contractors comply with the company’s security policy, procedures and practices.
